Want To Get Involved? - Read More About Haiti

There are many wonderful books to read to begin to learn more about Haiti. To gain a wonderful historical perspective, first read The Uses of Haiti. Written by Dr. Paul Farmer, it provides a great wealth of information about Haiti -- from its discovery  by Christopher Columbus in December 1492 through the events of 2002. Another great read any library should contain is Mountains Beyond Mountains. Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Kidder writes this book about the life of Doctor Paul Farmer and his quest to "cure the world."  Of course there are numerous other good books too. This list is just a good start for any collection. Email us at jjnewell55@aoll.com to give us others to add to this list.
